Day 1: Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park. The drive takes approximately 6-7 hours through scenic landscapes and local villages. Enjoy a hot meal in Fort Portal town before proceeding to the lodge to Kibale forest. Arrive in the afternoon and check into your lodge. In the evening, you can take a guided walk in the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its rich biodiversity and birdlife.Dinner and Overnight at Kibale Forest Camp
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest
After an early breakfast, head out for a briefing before embarking on your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Kibale Forest is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. Spend the morning trekking through the forest, observing the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The trek can last from 2 to 4 hours depending on the location of the chimps. Return to the lodge for lunch. Visit the nearby community projects or take a nature walk around the forest.Dinner and Overnight
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is approximately a 3-hour drive. Check into your lodge and have lunch. Enjoy a leisurely boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which is home to one of the largest concentrations of hippos and numerous bird species.Dinner and Overnight at Bush Lodge/Buffalo Safari Lodge
Day 4: Game Drives and Exploration in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Embark on an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you may spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Return to the lodge for lunch. Take an afternoon game drive or visit the Katwe Explosion Crater for stunning views and birdwatching.Dinner and Overnight
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The drive takes approximately 6-7 hours through beautiful landscapes and the Ishasha sector, where you might spot tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a packed lunch en route. Arrive in the evening and check into your lodge at Bakiga Logde/Gorilla Valley Lodge
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your gorilla trekking adventure. Bwindi is home to almost half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Spend the morning trekking through the dense forest, led by experienced guides. Once you locate the gorillas, you will have an hour to observe and photograph them. The trek can last from 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Return to the lodge for a late lunch. Relax at the lodge or take a guided community walk to visit the local Batwa community and learn about their culture and traditions.Dinner and Overnight.
Day 7: Return to Entebbe and Departure
After breakfast, embark on your journey back to Entebbe. The drive takes approximately 8-9 hours. Enjoy a packed lunch en route. Arrive in the late afternoon. Depending on your flight time, you can relax or do some last-minute shopping. Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
