Day 1: Journey from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Begin your safari with an early morning departure at 7:00 am from your hotel in Kampala. Travel through several prominent Ugandan towns, including Masaka and Lyantonde, before stopping for lunch in Mbarara at Agip Motel. Continue your journey through the scenic tea plantations of Igara and the lush Kalinzu Forest Reserve, arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park with its stunning viewpoints. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge/Buffalo Safari Lodge
Day 2: Game Drives and Boat Cruise
Set out early for a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Spot various animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, Cape buffalo, and Uganda kob against the backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains. After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which offers excellent viewing opportunities for hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Bwindi
After breakfast, head to Kyambura Gorge for an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking experience. Observe the chimps in their natural habitat as they search for food and interact with each other. Afterward, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector, renowned for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy lunch at Ishasha Wilderness Camp before continuing to Bwindi. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge/Gorilla Valley Lodge
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Following an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Enter the dense forest to track the mountain gorillas and spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Capture memorable photographs and watch the gorillas as they interact and play. Be sure to bring rain gear, sturdy walking shoes, a hat, insect repellent, sunscreen, a packed lunch, and bottled water. Day 5: Return to Kampala and Departure
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kampala, stopping for lunch en route. Visit the equator for a photo opportunity and to shop for souvenirs. Continue to Entebbe Airport for your departure flight, concluding your unforgettable Ugandan safari adventure.
